Hey there, nice to meet you !I'm María Alejandra, I'm 29 (almost 30, officially entering the third floor), born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, and currently building a life and career across continents.
I grew up in a family where no one was an artist, but creativity was everywhere. My dad used to read me stories before bed every night, the kind that make you close your eyes and build whole worlds in your head. I think that's where everything started. I fell in love with storytelling before I even knew what design was. I used to write stories as a kid, and somewhere along the way, that earned me a first-place national award in children's literature. Turns out I've always been in the business of making people feel something.
Outside of work, I'm a dreamer — a certified, unashamed one. I love to travel, to connect with people, to lose myself in music. I'm slowly falling in love with sport (late bloomer, no shame). And I'm deeply, proudly family-oriented.
When it comes to design, what drives me isn't just making things look good, it's making things mean something. Every visual decision needs a reason, an intention behind it. And that conviction became real to me the moment I understood that brands are not companies, they're people. They carry values, emotions, personalities. They exist to connect with other human beings. And when that connection is built with intention, with a real concept at its core, something shifts. People don't just notice a brand — they feel it.
That's what visual communication means to me: the bridge between who a brand truly is and the people it's meant to reach. And it matters in every industry, because how we show up in the world is, ultimately, everything.
Concepts that have a soul. Stories that resonate. Design that connects. Because at the end of the day, what I love most is people, and visual creativity is simply the most powerful way I know how to reach them.
